CCAMTAC’s independent external evaluation, which was finalized in summer 2025, found that CCAMTAC recipient authorities have clearly benefitted substantially from CCAMTAC CD in many different ways that promise to be of lasting value. As Norbert Funke, the first CCAMTAC Director, is leaving at end-November 2025, in an interview with Zarina Zikrina he reflects on the experience with setting-up the center.

Norbert is also pleased to announce that Holger Floerkemeier will take over as CCAMTAC Director on December 1. With his extensive IMF experience — including as Director of the Middle East Technical Assistance Center (METAC) in Beirut and as Deputy Director at the Joint Vienna Institute — Holger is uniquely placed to lead CCAMTAC into its next chapter. All the best to him and the CCAMTAC team!
