Nurdaulet Abilov Economic Analyst |
Nurdaulet Abilov, a Kazakh national, joined CCAMTAC in April 2023 as Economic Analyst. Prior to joining CCAMTAC, he worked in macroeconomic research and forecasting for 6 years at a university-based research center of Nazarbayev University in Astana, most recently as Director of the Economic Modeling Development Center. He also advised the World Bank as a short-term consultant on integrating fiscal rules in macroeconomic models and the National Bank of Kazakhstan on analyzing the consequences of launching CBDC in Kazakhstan. His areas of expertise include business cycle models (DSGE), dynamic factor models and macroeconomic forecasting. He holds a graduate diploma in mathematics from the University of London (2020) and a Master’s degree in Economics from the Higher School of Economics (2017) in Moscow.
